Have you ever asked yourself why don’t we all speak the same language? A lot of people have been trying to figure out what would happen if the whole world spoke the same language, and if there is any chance for us all to speak one language.
The origins of a language:
Language did not appear out of nowhere, it actually developed by our very early ancestors. It is directly connected to the environment because one of the first signs of language appearance is copying the natural sounds of a certain cultures.
These sounds develop gradually to become words and these words becomes connected directly to a certain meaning. From natural environment sounds to words and sentences with meaning, language becomes a core element in our life as human beings.
Different locations, different people, so different languages?

Having a small group of people in one place will eventually push them to communicate. Therefore, language will be the fruit of their connection with each other. This might raise the question: do other people in different places develop and communicate even on social media or in real life the same language within their environment?
The answer is no because they are entirely different people who are influenced by another environment, they might also differ in the HOW and WHY, and what we mean by the how is the way people communicate, whether it is verbal or non-verbal, and why they communicate.

What we have just mentioned and many other factors might explain, why we don’t all speak the same language, and why each region or country has a different language.
Is there any future for one worldwide language?

There are over 7000 languages around the world, some of them are pretty common, and others might be on their way to vanishing and disappearing. As we witness the globalization of our world, we realize that there is a very slight chance of having a worldwide language. English is the first global language with 1.35 billion speakers out of 7.85 billion inhabitances.
the aims and objectives of their communication also have a role in defining the type of language and communication in general. for example, an Italian man does not speak the same language as a French man, and this is explained through their historical events nature of the environment and kind of people.
this is a huge number despite the fact that most English speakers are not native. However, we cannot deny the importance of other languages such as French, Arabic, German and Spanish. It is improbable for people to give up on their original language yet, we might come to develop a second language as a worldwide one.
How come one language be widespread popular?
Some countries might share words and phrases with other countries, and this is due to a lot of factors such as cross-cultural dialogue, and different cultures merging and exchanging meanings of words and phrases. Such historical events like wars and natural disasters push people to share the same symbols, signs and eventually words and language.
this might not mean that a perfect and complete structured language will be developed. just enough for these people to understand each other and live together. Also, another factor that we already mentioned earlier is globalization, we witness its effect on the quick widespread of certain languages such as the English language.

The possibility of having a whole world speaking one language is very difficult to apply and far away to be achieved. yet, it is not impossible to achieve. Language remains part of each individual’s identity, and it is the tool that keeps all human beings connected.
